DHT-researcher Lisbeth Frølunde participated in the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry in May 20th-23rd at the University of Illinois, Champaign, partially funded by DHT.

Lisbeth Frølunde co-presented a paper written in collaboration with Christina Hee Pedersen. The paper has co-authors Martin Novak, Masaryk University (who stayed at RUC on an Erasmus+mobility grant fall, 2014) as well as Jakub Černý and Barbora Petránková, Masaryk University. The paper, Writing as collaborative inquiry: productive unravelling, is being revised for journal submission. Other papers at the same panel also regarded collaboration and issues of difference, emotion and embodiment. Especially The Effects of Affect in Ethnographic Encounters, by Assoc. Prof. Devika Chawla, Ohio University, and Myrdene Anderson, Purdue University was relevant for our further writing.

The ICQI conference was broadly about qualitative research methods with a range of presentations such as on intercultural and indigenous approaches to research, critical theory, ethnographic and autoethnographic methods, storytelling, psychology, curriculum design with digital media, arts-based methods.
