New Network of Participatory Design PhD students

by Connie Svabo

A PhD network for Participatory Design has been established as an outcome of the PhD course “Designing Human Technologies” which took place May 26-28, 2013 in the Holbæk area in Denmark.

One of the founding members of the network which initially consists of an open LinkedIn group “PhD for Participatory Design”, Kasper Rodil says:

“As a product of the Designing Human Technologies course, we established a network of the Ph.d students who participated. The network will serve as a platform to share PD methods, call for papers and in general will be a place to discuss topics in PD seen through the eyes of Ph.d students.”

The network has the ambition of gradually including more member PhD students through conferences and courses, thus creating a community of participatory design ‘juniors’.
